On the morning of September 5th, SKLAM held the opening ceremony and teacher-student meeting in classroom S310 of Changping Innovation Campus. Director Guo Zhancheng, deputy director Jiao Shuqiang, Zhang Yanling, Yang Shufeng, office director Zhao Shiqiang and other 18 teachers attended the ceremony. Tutor Wei Yuzhe held the activity.

First of all, Zhan-cheng Guo introduced the four main research scopes of SKLAM and showcased the development history, subject characteristics and faculty. He recommended students to set goals in research, study and life and encouraged the students to strive for excellence.

Deputy director Yang Shufeng introduced the postgraduate training work for the students, so that the students have a better understanding of the subject, and encouraged students to actively participate in scientific research work. He also put forward three suggestions to the students, hoping that the students can seize the time to invest in scientific research and innovation, and have a rigorous scientific attitude.

Zhang Yanling, deputy director, specifically emphasized the safety issues during research. She told students to follow the safety procedure and guidance strictly and have a happy life at USTB. We also invited safety specialist Ren Kangkang to carry out safety education. He introduced detailed laboratory cases, management measures and safety standards, and reminded the students to improve their safety awareness, abide by the rules and regulations, and be responsible for their own and others. Zhao Shiqiang did the course selection training and interpreted the postgraduate training program, awards and grants, academic requirements for graduation and other aspects.
